Jannat-ul-Mu'alla - The Cemetery in Makkah

Located in a valley east of the Masjid al-Haram, Jannat-ul-Mu’alla is the historical graveyard in Makkah where several members of Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) family and his many companions are buried here. Mentioned below is the list of personalities buried in Jannat-ul-Mu’alla:

Khadija (RA), the first wife of the Prophet (pbuh)
Qasim- the eldest son of the Prophet (pbuh) and Khadija (RA) who died in infancy.
Abdullah- the second son of the Prophet (pbuh) and Khadija (RA) who was also known as Tahir and Tayyab.
Abu Talib – the uncle of the Prophet (pbuh)
Abdul Mutallib – the grandfather of the Prophet (pbuh)
